Although the number of CubeSat missions has been growing fast, the percentage of failed missions is still high. In fact, more than 50% of the past first-time missions have demonstrated system failures which partially or completely compromised the mission’s goal. Among others, these failures are caused mainly by design faults and poor testing procedures of the communications module (TT&C). This creates a problem for the establishment of reliable CubeSat constellations which depend on nearly real-time data acquisition.
Our mission is to provide highly reliable communications solutions for onboard data processing for CubeSats. Our products encompass all the robustness of the European Cooperation for Space Standardization (ECSS) standards and the Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems (CCSDS) recommendations while preserving the simplicity and low-costs needed for CubeSats.
NanoRaven's products are based on a highly reliable VHDL implementation for telemetry and telecommand onboard processing for CubeSats (Raven Core). Also, we offer a compact hardware solution loaded with the Raven Core. By having these two different but complementary product segments, we offer our clients a flexible solution to increase the communication robustness of their CubeSat mission, without requiring any low-level modifications in their TT&C design. Both products are designed to work in a plug & play fashion in order to allow easy integration.
